Customer Review: Great Serving Bowl

This bowl is great as a family serving bowl or for use by an individual. We usually eat dinner as a family at the table. There I generally put vegetables, bread or desserts in these bowls. The bowl is large enough to serve a family of 6. It is small enough to easily store the left overs in the refrigerator. After that, it can go from the refrigerator to the microwave then back to the table. The shape and size of this bowl are very good for my needs, though some may want a bowl with a little more depth.
It is also great as a serving bowl for individuals. On those occasions when we eat in front of the TV, I always make sure to use these bowls. I am generally reading a book at the same time, so for me it helps prevent spills.
A chip fell out of the rim of one bowl a week after I received it. The response by Amazon to my claim was immediate and courteous. The replacement bowl arrived within a few days. I could not have asked for better service.
A few years ago, I tried to find family serving dishes but could not find anything reasonably priced that met my needs. It must have been a fad at that time for odd shaped, poorly designed dishes. I remember complaining to a couple of store managers about not being able to find round or oval, family-sized serving bowls at a good price in their stores. After extensive searching in local stores and some on the internet, I gave up. This last year, I decided to try again and found a couple of choices at Amazon. I chose this one because I already had one that I purchased several years ago. My only regret is that I did not go for the special promotion where you buy 3 and get 1 free.
